Get BooshSEO 0.1.5

Before you install

Boosh Apps make every attempt to ensure your data remains with you and is able to be exported and kept safe.

Please remember to take backups when installing new versions.

  1. Version 0.1.5

A new frosted glass look on the home page and dialogs, and three buttons inside the peek window that now show what they open.

    Improved

    • Home and dialogs are frosted glass over a soft field of light that follows your accent colour, in all six colour schemes.
    • The default blue is fine-tuned. The light schemes' default accent moves slightly to match the blue actually in use. If you have chosen your own accent, nothing changes.
    • No data upgrade needed. Opening this version over 0.1.4 leaves your workspace exactly as it was.

    Fixed

    • The ⓘ, Add action and Discuss this buttons work inside the peek window. They were opening behind it, where you could not see them. The peek now has its own side panel, and Discuss this hands the question back to your conversation.
  2. Version 0.1.4

A big release: Google Search Console and Analytics, live AI Research across four engines, a client dashboard, charts, filters on every column, and tools to manage storage and remove clients safely.

    New

    • Google Search Console. Connect your own Google account and attach a property to a client to pull what Google actually served the site. Pulls are free, dated and kept side by side, and can be filtered to the client's country or left worldwide.
    • Google Analytics 4 and the search funnel. On the same connection, a separate tab shows sessions, engaged sessions and key events per landing page. Joined to your runs, it flags terms seen but not clicked, and follows each page from impressions to clicks to sessions to key events so you can see where people drop away.
    • AI Research. A new run type that asks ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity your question live, in any market, localised to the client's country and city where the engine supports it. The cost is shown as an estimate because it depends on the length of the answer, and a comparison panel lines up which sources each engine cited.
    • Where the AI already cites you. AI Visibility reports can now find answers on any topic that quote the client's own site, with the quoted passage and the page it came from. Engines with no indexed answers in a market now say Not indexed here and point you to AI Research.
    • Client Overview. Every client opens on a dashboard of ranking keywords, top ten, referring domains, tracked keywords, open actions and issues, spend, and any run type never tried. When tracked keywords are overdue by the client's own review cadence, it offers a priced re-check. Nothing runs on its own.
    • Charts for rank over time, monthly search volume, the client trend (including estimated visits and position bands), the Search Console position spread, and the shape of a comparison.
    • Cannibalisation. When two of a client's own pages appear on the same results page, the report says so. The same page listed twice under http and https is flagged as a canonical fix instead.
    • Filter any column, act on any row. Every sortable column can now be filtered from its heading, and each row offers Track this keyword, Add action and Discuss with AI.
    • Actions, notes and Discuss this. Adding an action opens a composer in the side panel with the finding already attached, clients can carry dated notes, and Discuss this on a judgement opens the assistant ready to talk it through.
    • Delete or export a client, and manage storage. A client can be exported in full, archived, or deleted after typing its name, with a list of everything that will go. Settings, under Storage, shows what takes up space and lets you release old raw data, prune pre-upgrade backups (which were previously kept forever), clear old failed runs or delete a single run.

    Improved

    • A cleaner, calmer interface. Light is now the default scheme for new installs, panels stand out from the background, wide screens get a readable content column, and explanations move into a side panel and ⓘ tooltips so the data stays in front.
    • The MCP connections panel explains that the connector runs on your computer, so browser-based assistants such as claude.ai cannot reach it.
    • Signed and notarised on macOS, so the Mac download opens normally, without a right-click workaround. Your existing data is upgraded automatically on first launch.

    Fixed

    • Colour swatches in Settings show your real colours instead of a blue from no scheme, and three tables that could not be re-sorted (the compare view's issues and keywords, and confirmed AI citations) now can.

    Removed

    • The Panels and Borders colour overrides have been removed, along with any saved values, because they could leave panels darker than the background when you changed scheme. Body text and Headings colours remain.
  3. Version 0.1.3

The MCP connection works again in installed copies, every data table exports itself, and you can keep a short list of tracked keywords with their position history.

    New

    • Tracked keywords. A new Tracked tab on each client holds the terms that matter. Tick rows in any keyword table to add them, then re-check the list with an ordinary Local & SERP run, with the cost shown before you press. Position history is built from runs you have already made, and movement is only compared between the same kind of check.
    • Tracked keywords export too, as a CSV with the whole position series in one cell, or as a PDF in the client document layout.
    • SERP features on the keyword table. A new column shows what else is on the results page for each keyword, such as an AI Overview or a local pack, how many blocks sit above every organic result, and who holds them. Keywords with no results page pulled yet say "not checked" rather than looking clean.
    • Export from any data table. Keywords, Clusters, Gap keywords, Pages, Issues, Pages inspected and Referring domains each have Export all beside their filters, plus Export selected for the rows you have ticked.
    • A What was asked panel. Every report now shows the seeds, prompts or competitor domains it was run on, and the seeds also appear on the client PDF cover.
    • More appearance settings. Contrast (Normal, High, Ultra), Interface size with new X-Large and XX-Large steps, a separate Label size for small text, and colour overrides for body text, headings, panels and borders.

    Improved

    • CSV files open correctly in Excel, so accented letters and punctuation in keywords no longer arrive garbled. The keyword export also gains the SERP feature columns.
    • Reports from the Tools screens no longer talk about "your" site. Runs made without a client lead with what was actually measured, name the leader on each measure, and drop columns and filters that only make sense for a client.
    • Report limits are stated up front. Notes about what a run could and could not cover now sit at the top under What was checked, and an AI Search prompt with no measurable AI demand says so, including that the mention checks were skipped and nothing was spent.
    • Tidier report layout. Headline tiles line up across the row with larger figures, the Export PDF button no longer stretches across the page, and How the clustering works is its own section.

    Fixed

    • Connecting an AI assistant over MCP works in installed copies. In 0.1.2 the connection failed during setup on every installed app, so assistants such as Claude Code refused to connect.
    • AI Visibility reports no longer say "0 keywords returned" on runs that never asked for keywords.
    • Headings use your heading colour, and a few report hints no longer show stray characters.
  4. Version 0.1.2

BooshSEO now runs on Windows, with installers for all three platforms built from the same release.

    New

    • BooshSEO for Windows. A Windows installer is available for the first time, alongside the Apple silicon and Intel Mac downloads.

    Improved

    • The Windows installer is not yet code-signed. Windows SmartScreen may warn you the first time you run it, and some managed work computers may refuse to open it.
