Proposals, invoices and goals
Turning a proposal into an invoice record, what the invoicing does and does not do, and the two kinds of goal.
Proposals
Write a proposal against a client or a deal and send it as a branded PDF. When one is accepted it converts into an invoice record — the figures carry across rather than being retyped into a second system.
Invoices are records
This is the part worth being plain about: BooshHUB does not take payments. It keeps the record of an invoice — what was billed, to whom, for what, and whether it has been paid.
Where you raise the actual invoice in Stripe or Xero, put that number on the record and the two stay reconciled. The ledger lives here; the money moves elsewhere.
Alongside invoices sit income streams and receipts, and an insights view that reads across all of it.
Two kinds of goal
Target goals are a number by a date — revenue, new clients, hours billed.
Milestone goals are a checklist whose steps tick themselves when the linked project or task completes. That is the useful part: a milestone goal does not need maintaining, because the thing that proves a step is done is the same record you were already updating.
Use a target goal for a number you are chasing and a milestone goal for a sequence you are working through.
