Comparing two runs
Reading a delta, and the one counting convention that catches everybody out.
Because every run is immutable and dated, any two of the same type can be put side by side.
Positions count downwards
The convention that catches everyone: a smaller number is better, so a negative change is an improvement.
Moving from 14 to 9 is −5, and it is good news. The reports label it as such, but it is worth holding in your head before you read one.
What a delta shows
- What moved, by how much, and in which direction
- A written narrative of the change, where you have an AI provider connected
- The run each figure came from, so anything can be checked
Where two sources disagree
Both are shown. A disagreement between two measurements is information, and resolving it silently in favour of one would throw that information away.
What to re-check next time
Every run ends with a note of what is worth looking at on the next one. It is the cheapest thing in the app and the most frequently ignored.
