What runs cost, and why
Where the money actually goes, how the estimate on each button is worked out, and how to keep a client review cheap.
The money goes to DataForSEO
BooshSEO is bought once. The ongoing cost is the data, and that is billed to your own DataForSEO account at whatever it costs them to sell it. Nothing is marked up and nothing is metered here.
An AI provider, if you connect one, is billed to you the same way.
The estimate on the button
Before the first run of a type, the estimate comes from a formula — the endpoints to be called and the expected row counts.
After that, it uses the previous actual for that run type on that client, which is a better predictor than any formula. So the numbers get more trustworthy the more you use it.
Free things
Not everything spends. The tabs that hold what you curate or query — competitors, actions, the tracked list itself — are free and changeable. They feed the run cards rather than replacing one.
Reading, comparing and exporting existing runs costs nothing. The history is yours and querying it is free.
Keeping a review cheap
- Run Site Explorer once per client per cycle, not per question. Most of what a review needs is already in it.
- Use Tracked for the between-times check rather than a full run.
- Keyword Research without a client attached is the cheap way to explore an idea before committing a client’s budget to it.
- A partial run is stored. If an endpoint failed, you do not need to re-run the whole thing to keep what did come back.
