Setting up BooshSEO
Adding your DataForSEO credentials, deciding whether you want the AI judgement layer, and turning on the cost display.
BooshSEO buys its data from DataForSEO on your own account. You bring the key, you pay what the data costs, and nothing is metered by us.
Add your DataForSEO credentials
Settings → DataForSEO takes your login and password. Until they are in, no run will start.
The credentials are yours and are billed to you directly. If you already use DataForSEO for something else, the same account is fine.
The AI layer is optional
An AI provider supplies the judgement — naming clusters, assessing a SERP, deciding an issue’s severity, writing the narrative on a comparison.
It is genuinely optional. DataForSEO credentials alone produce a complete report; what you lose without an AI key is the interpretation, not the data.
Where you do connect one, it is your key and your credit.
Turn on the cost display
Settings → Cost display puts the estimated cost on every run button before you press it. Leave it on.
After the first run of a given type, the estimate uses the previous actual rather than a formula, so it gets more accurate the more you use it.
Nothing runs on its own
There is no scheduler and no background crawler. Every run in BooshSEO happens because you clicked a button that told you what it would cost. A quiet month costs nothing at all.
